Consumer-Professional Partnership Program (CPPP)

How are we implementing the CPPP?

back button

We are implementing the program gradually over the next four years. The pilot-program is being developed and tested in Washington, D.C. at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). In 2004, we have solicited consumer input in the development of the program via Virtual Townhall Meeting webcasts that was hosted by RRTC partner ILRU. We have taught a group of medical residents within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program with great success. Next, we will provide education to nurse practioners, and in the spring 2005 to physical therapists. We will be training additional SCI Educators in 2005 and expand the program. In the coming years, we will develop a Virtual Education Component of the CPPP.
