Dr. Ann Spungen Discusses Risk for Cardiovascular Disease After Spinal Cord Injury

Ann M. Spungen, EdD, from the VA Rehabilitation, Research and Development Center for Excellence for the Medical Consequences of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) presented "Risk Analysis for Cardiovascular Disease After Spinal Cord Injury" on Tuesday, July 17, 2007.

Dr. Spungen is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She received her doctoral degree from Columbia University in Applied Physiology with a minor in Statistics. As part of the continued focus on knowledge and prevention of secondary conditions, Dr. Spungen provided an overview of cardiovascular risk for people with SCI.
